APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION

PARTICIPATION

  • Registration fee 500 EUR (will be applied to the overnight stay)
  • Workshops will take place in venues in the city, concerts will be in the Wittenberg Schlosskirche
  • Participants receive a festival brochure, a city map, and a certificate of participation

FRIDAY, 28.08.2020

13:30 „Klingende Schlosskirche“ festival cycle (four choirs)
15:30–18:30 Workshop II
19:00 „Klingende Schlosskirche“ festival cycle (four choirs)
21:00–24:00 Evening of Welcome at the Schlosshof

SATURDAY, 29.08.2020
10:00–13:00 Workshop III
13:30 „Klingende Schlosskirche“ festival cycle (four choirs)
15:30 Visit the Luther memorials, city tour and planting of 12 Beethoven memorial trees (in multiple groups, each choir plants one tree)
21:00 Film screening: Beethoven (ARD, 2020) at the Schlosshof with leading actors

SUNDAY, 30.08.2020
08:30 Drive to the surrounding villages
10:00–11:30 musical services in the churches of the city and surrounding churches (repertoire for the services: required pieces Jennefelt / Beethoven / Berger and an additional choir-selected piece)
12:30–14:00 Vocal pedagogy & preparation for closing concert in the Schlosskirche
15:00–16:30 Closing concert in the Schlosskirche
Joint performance of the Pastoral Symphony by all choirs (partial arrangement in a cappella form)

These workshops are recognized as continuing education for choir directors and music teachers.
